Li Zhu Zi had always taken care of Li Jin, even when he had disputes with other villagers, Li Zhu Zi had tried to help him.

The original owner was a coward and he didn’t cause much of a problem due to his timid nature. 

Even Li Jin couldn’t bear to listen to the deeds of the original owner, but Li Zhu Zi had still tried to help and rectify him.

Li Zhu Zi stopped the ox-cart at Li Jin’s door. Li Jin picked the tub with washed clothes and thanked Li Zhu Zi.

“It should be me, who should thank you, because of you my legs become good again.”

After bidding goodbye, Li Zhu Zi pulled away from his carriage and Li Jin entered his depilated house.

Li Jin’s house was small, because of which the yard seems to be much bigger than normal. There was a well in the front yard near the kitchen. 

The backyard had two persimmon trees with hemp rope on it, to hang the clothes to dry. It was behind the bedroom.

When Li Jin came back, Qin Mu Wen was awake.

When Mu Wen first opened his eyes and only saw the child in the room, he panicked. 

He tried to call “A’Jin” but got no response.

When Qin Mu Wen saw Li Jin came back with the tub file with washed clothes, he almost sat up in shock.

Li Jin quickly helped him and put a pillow behind his back.

“Are you alright? Are you feeling hungry? Do you want to eat chicken soup?”

Qin Mu When stared at Li Jin and said, “Clothes.”

“I have washed it. You are not in a shape to wash it. You should take some rest.”

Li Jin didn’t believe in ‘man should not do house chores’. Right now, Li Jin was a poor person and only he and his husband were in the family.

He didn’t want to wait up for Qin Mu Wen to get well and then wash those clothes.

Qin Mu Wen frightened and stared at Li Jin.

“You are a man, you cannot wash those clothes.”

While holding his hands, Li Jin replied “You are not in good shape to wash the clothes, do you still want to wash it?”

Qin Mu Wen had no idea how to answer Li Jin. Even in his father’s house, the duty of washing clothes had always fallen on women and gers. No men had ever helped in washing it.

After marrying Li Jin, Qin Mu Wen plowed the fields, cooked foods, washed clothes, and try to sew clothes for others every day as an atonement.

Even though he didn’t know his father’s crime, he still tried to atone for it.

Qin Mu Wen had gotten used to the abusive treatment of Li Jin and cared about giving birth to a child and having him grow up happily.

But why was Li Jin trying to treat him so well?

Qin Mu Wen was staring at the washed clothes while hitting his lips. Even though he envied the romantic couples written in the books, he knew his reality.

Maybe when Qin Mu Wen first married Li Jin, he had this type of dream but now he knew how idiotic his thoughts were.

Li Jin looked at this stubborn kid and felt a. headache. 

He said in a serious tone like giving the patient’s family some precautions.

“You can’t stand in the wind, and touch cold water. So you should care so much about washing these clothes.”

Qin Mu Wen was not worried about the clothes but worried that the kindness of Li Jin would only last some moments.

He didn’t know if Li Jin was waiting for him to get well soon to beat him or scold him like earlier.

 Mu Wen knew falling from clouds on the grounds directly would kill him.

Qin Mu Wen looked at the ground and said, “I will wash the clothes after getting better.”

He could do any work if Li Jin treats him a little better.

Li Jin knew the psychological issues related to child-birth, so always tried to consider everything from Qin Mu Wen’s perspective.

Li Jin had just crossed over, he didn’t know his husband’s temperament. For Li Jin, Mu Wen himself was a kid.
